Thailand Immigration arrests Chinese national with forged passport

The Thailand Immigration Officials detained a Chinese national who confessed of purchasing Malaysian passport for US$ 6000 through online.

The accused were arrested at the International Airport Suvarnabhumi during the regular check; he was about board a flight scheduled to Tokyo.

Immigration Police Commander Thatcher Pitaabeelabot said that they found something suspicious about his passport and checked thoroughly for further details.

Further investigation revealed astonishing facts that the suspect did not have any passport, and entered Thailand in 2013 through the Chiangrai Provinces Maasai border.

The cases of this nature have become quite common these days; this is the second time in the week that a foreign national with Malaysian passport.

A Sri Lankan national was arrested on May 14, at Chiangmai Airport with a forged Malaysian passport. He was about to board a flight scheduled to Hong Kong and further Zurich.

The investigation reports found that the passport details were of a woman.
